The Today Show on NBC featured a segment today about family caregivers and some of the risks involved. Bottom-line, when caring for a loved one or when deciding to become a caregiver, you need to build a support network around you and make time each week to recharge. Getting the whole family involved is a great idea also. In addition, taking advantage of local adult day care programs or hiring a private duty home care agency to give you a little exta assistance will be an invaluable resource to have in your back pocket.
