A Fond Farewell to Maryalice: A Legacy of Care in Pinellas County
After an incredible 23-year journey, we are honored to celebrate the retirement of one of Bayshore Home Care’s most dedicated and beloved caregivers: Maryalice Lester. She began her career with us in August 2002 and her final day on the job will be July 6, 2025. Though we’ll miss her deeply, we had the joy of honoring her remarkable career with a heartfelt retirement celebration at the end of June.
Maryalice has long been a pillar of excellence in home care in Pinellas County, particularly for families in Largo, FL, Clearwater, and surrounding communities. Her calm presence and unwavering commitment to her clients made her a favorite among both coworkers and the families she served. Whether it was arriving early for a shift, staying late to ensure someone was safe, or simply offering a comforting hand, Maryalice gave her all — every single day.
Throughout her 23 years with Bayshore Home Care, Maryalice received multiple awards recognizing her exceptional service. But her greatest impact was felt in the quiet, everyday moments — in the dignity she gave to her clients, the trust she built with families, and the kindness she extended to her fellow team members.
Bayshore is proud to offer personalized, compassionate home care in Clearwater, Largo, and beyond — and caregivers like Maryalice are the heart of that mission. She truly exemplified what it means to provide care from the heart, and her presence will be deeply missed.
As she enters this next chapter of life, we wish Maryalice joy, rest, and all the happiness she so richly deserves. While she is moving north to be closer to family, she mentioned that she may continue working in some capacity — a testament to her lifelong passion for caregiving and supporting seniors.
Thank you, Maryalice, for 23 years of service, dedication, and heart. You’ve made a lasting difference in the lives of so many, and you will always be part of the Bayshore story.
